Utopia: Heaven is a (vegan) place on earth.
Utopia’s food is beautifully presented, full of fresh local ingredients, and really, really good. Located near the port and Castle Hill, Utopia is known by locals for the warm Italian welcome, organic wine and quality food. The chef, Francesca, learned Italian cooking the old-school way: from her mother and grandmother. Reimagined classics include vegan Carbonara, beetroot carpaccio, spaghetti ‘Bolognese’ and a to-die-for vegan cheesecake. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, but with limited seating, you’ll definitely want to make a reservation. From authentic Italian pasta to delectable chocolate treats, Utopia is a great stop for a satisfying sit-down lunch or dinner.

Pekin: All-Vegan, All-You-Can-Eat.
Is there any better combination of words in the English language than ‘all you can eat buffet?’ Pekin is a Chinese restaurant just off the main shopping street Jean Medecin, near the breathtaking Notre Dame de l’Assomption. The decor is nothing fancy, so no need to wear a black tie to dinner. For a relaxed, all-vegan, all-you-can-eat buffet experience, this is your go-to. For starters, you have a selection of light-as-air tempura (the sweet potato is particularly good!), roasted mushrooms, fried tofu, delicious dumplings and more. The main course is made to-order: choose whatever vegetables you’d like from their market selection, and the chef does a stir-fry on the spot. It doesn’t get any fresher than that! If you have room for dessert, you can enjoy a selection of fresh and dried fruit.
