The Beaches of Saint Tropez.
Saint-Tropez is a trendy seaside resort on the French Riviera. As for the beaches in Saint-Tropez, it’s best to move away from the centre of town to find quiet, beautiful beaches.
Ramatuelle, Bay of St. Tropez.
The name of Saint-Tropez is largely associated with beaches frequented by the rich and famous, but locals know the best spots for a relaxing day in style. A nearby town, Ramatuelle, is host to many of the best beaches in the area.
Pampelonne Beach, Ramatuelle.
Pampelonne beach is one of the most beautiful and most famous beaches in the region of Saint Tropez. Every summer, Hollywood stars, renowned artists and rich industrialists come here to relax. It is also a natural and preserved setting, surrounded by vineyards, bamboos, and pines.
Here, more than elsewhere, luxury and champagne are to be found in the famous Saint-Tropez style. It’s a unique place where establishments like Le Club 55 or Tahiti have made this beach a real institution. Hotels, restaurants, private beaches, shops, jet-skis, naturist area, showers, pontoons, boat shuttles and car parks make this beach a favourite.
Tahiti Beach, Ramatuelle.
This superb beach owes its name to its clear azure water. Located on the peninsula of Saint-Tropez, it offers a breathtaking view of the Cap du Pinet and the beach of Pampelonne. A legendary place for holidays!
Escalet Beach, Ramatuelle
It’s impossible for this jewel not to appear in our top list. This beach is gorgeous: turquoise water, small rocky coves, lively atmosphere. A beach in paradise that will make you feel like you’re in the Caribbean.
The authentic beaches of Saint-Tropez are not as well known; we’ve put together a list here of some of our favourites.
The beach of Bouillabaisse is ideally located at the entrance of Saint-Tropez. The view of the Gulf and Sainte-Maxime is really beautiful; it’s also a great spot to admire the yachts and sailboats entering the Port of St-Tropez.
La Ponche Beach & Fontanette Beach.
La Fontanette beach and Ponche beach are two adjoining beaches located in the old district of Ponche, in the heart of Saint-Tropez. The place is picturesque, guarded by the Portalet tower and the Vieille tower, at the foot of fishermen’s houses. The panoramic view of the Gulf is beautiful.
You can only access these beaches on foot from the Port or the Citadel. They are small sandy and gravel beaches only 50m in length.
Of the few beaches in Saint-Tropez proper, this one is a real gem for it’s wilderness and nature. Small shady spots, a nice place to eat & drink, a beach of sand and pebbles rolled in the transparent water of the Mediterranean. In short, happiness a few minutes’ walk from the Citadel.
Canebiers beach is situated about 4 km north of the city center, on the Route des Salins. It is a sandy beach with a length of about 200 m. The Tropezians appreciate it for its easy access and umbrella pines. The environment is natural and well-preserved: a little haven of peace. You will enjoy the view of celebrity villas, but also Cap Saint-Pierre and the Château de la Moutte on the right of the beach.
