Nice Beach
Nice beach is located in the heart of Nice and is easily accessible from both our hostel locations. From Villa Gardens it is a 15 minute tram ride to the beach and from Villa Beach only a 5 minute walk. Take one of our free beach mats to lie on the large stones to relax and enjoy the Cote d’Azur sunshine and take in the sparkling blue water and amazing views.
Villefranche
A former Italian fishing village, Villefranche is a beautiful, relaxing spot east of Nice. It has a sandy beach with a small bay full of picturesque fishing boats. Discover the fort and wander through the old town behind the church and waterfront. Villefranche is an extra 15-minute bus ride from Nice, but definitely worth the trip as there are less tourists and a stunning beach.
St Jean Cap Ferrat
A beautiful, quiet spot just 5 minutes by bus from Villefranche. Absent of tourists, this is a great spot to swim and sunbathe in absolute serenity. There are 2 cafes at the beach where you can enjoy lunch on the beach and hire deck chairs for the day.
Cap d’Ail
The Garlic Cape, Cap d’Ail is another beautiful, sandy beach, a further 10 minutes north of Villefranche. There are caves to swim to, and also cliffs to dive from.
Juan les Pins
Juan les Pins is one of the few spots along the coast with true sandy beaches. There a number of free beaches, as well as some great restaurants where you can hire a deck chair for the day from €15 and spoil yourself with delicious cocktails by the beach for the day.
Cannes
Packed with celebrities and movie stars during May, Cannes is still a great spot for star spotting all year round. With a great stretch of sandy beach along the coast, Cannes is a beautiful spot to catch some rays. The majority of the beach has been taken over by hotels so you have to pay from €15 for a deck chair for the day, but you can still find some great free spots along the beach.
St Tropez
St Tropez is the holiday spot of the rich and famous. With plenty of beautiful beach spots, great cafes and restaurants and a stunning port you’ll quickly see why Hollywood’s A-list celebrities spend their summers here.
